Cladding is now taking shape at the Wellington Airport Retail Park
A huge amount of work has gone into the existing building’s southern façade to get to this point where the new insulated panel cladding can finally go on.
Every existing column has been sand blasted (by man and nature) with new plate steel welded to it for strengthening, prior to it being painted in an extremely durable marine-grade paint coating system.
It’s only after this paint system has been completed that we’re able to install the new steel structure that holds the new cladding to the building. 12 June marked a significant day where we saw the first cladding going up. The last picture shows the first three…approximately 144 more to go!
