Building up a storm (literally) at CareVets & Apartments site.

Following the successful completion of the blockwork and structural steel, attention quickly shifted to forming the Level 1 slab.  We struck a run of great weather, allowing for the smooth installation of the Level 1 precast flat slabs and ribs.

From there, the team battled through Wellington’s torrential rain to prepare the Level 1 floor slab for pouring.  In true Wellington fashion, the weather changed again and turned it on delivering ideal conditions for a successful suspended floor slab concrete pour.

With that milestone achieved, our teams focus is now firmly on pushing the structure upward. Prenail frames are currently being loaded into site and Level 2 CLT flooring is ready to follow close behind. The race is now to get to the roof level over the next month and start closing in the building.

A huge shout out to the team and our key subcontractors. Your hard work, resilience, and drive are what’s powering this project forward.
