Paperscape site is underway
Less than 2 months ago, the Aoraki team joined Kāpiti locals Katharina and Rob, owners of Paperscape along with local Iwi represented by Matua Rawiri Rikihana of Ngā Hapū o Ōtaki for a karakia and blessing of the site ahead of the deconstruction of the existing building.
Since then, the building has been successfully dismantled, including the old canopy over Ōtaki’s Main Street pedestrian footpath. We’re now in one of our favourite places – in the mud! Lance’s gumboots are getting a work out as the site team are laying the foundations working toward our concrete pour date to set the slab for the new building. Watch this space Ōtaki!
