Armstrong’s Wellington Workshop

This Archaus designed upgrade of the facilities at Armstrong’s in Wellington consists of two parts; the removal of the existing Barker St workshop and its replacement with a modern highly specified version, and an extension of an alterations to the Porsche building on Cambridge Terrace.

The workshop presents some interesting construction challenges, such as the excavation and installation of car service pits in contaminated ground and below the in-ground water level, and the underpinning of the adjacent building’s structure while we install its new foundations. All the while ensuring that the Armstrong’s showrooms can continue on business as usual.
