This project involved the refurbishment of the existing apartment building at 97 Boulcott St in Wellington Central.
In order to prepare the building for the refurbishment works we first needed to scaffold the perimeter, erect temporary scaffold roof trusses, and apply shrink wrap to the scaffold from the roof down to the ground floor. As the building is to remain occupied throughout the works, translucent shrink wrap has been used over the existing window openings to allow light through to the apartments.
The roof, cladding and window works could then proceed! These include the removal and replacement of:
– Level 5 roof and wall cladding
– existing waterproof membranes to internal roof gutters
– all spouting and downpipes
– all fire windows & window joinery to the level 5 north elevation
– seismic flashings
– exterior repaint
Care was taken to minimise disruption to the building’s tenants, whilst ensuring the works were performed efficiently to ensure the tenants were not living in a construction zone for any longer than necessary!
