Experiencing the Drifter vision first-hand
The Drifter project team delivering the cool new Drifter hotel & hostel in Wellington, along with architect Amanda Daysh of foster + melville architects, took a trip down to Ōtautahi last Friday to spend a bit of time soaking up the vibes of the already open Drifter Christchurch. Drifter is something special, re-purposing and harnessing heritage features in buildings, breathing new life into them as boutique accommodation in the heart of our cities. Spending the night at a completed Drifter gave the team first hand experience of what we’re building for, and a taste of what Drifter Wellington will soon be bringing to our city. Oh, and on top of that, a chance to visit Ōtautahi’s pretty cool new covered Te Kaha stadium – what a treat!
